A Day in the Life of a PPC and Search Engine Optimisation Agency10.00am: Top Position's team of Google AdWords and search engine optimisation account managers start the day by reviewing the performance of clients' pay per click (PPC) accounts and organic search rankings. How did the AdWords campaign perform yesterday? Is the daily budget being put to good use? Have keyword positions changed? Do landing pages need tweaking? Is there any social media feedback to go through? 12.00pm: Our senior account managers hold a Google AdWords professional qualification, meaning they've been trained to the highest standard by Google themselves. After checking account performance, they're chatting to clients throughout Europe, giving expert feedback and finding out what's new with their business. Special offers and extended product lines make great additions to any pay per click (PPC) campaign. On the SEO side of the team, account managers will be running on page analysis, creating to do lists of optimisation needs, brain storming content ideas and deciding on link building strategies.
2.00pm: As the Google AdWords accounts are monitored and updated, the Yahoo Search Marketing (Overture) team are also hard at work. Weekly reports and fortnightly reviews are dispatched to clients, keeping them abreast of just how well their account is running. Our search engine optimisation team have a unique organic search reporting tool in their arsenal, which automatically updates keyword positions for all campaigns and uploads reports directly to the client area. The account manager and client can then access the report online and discuss progress.
4.00pm: The sales department send through details of a new account for the Small Business Team. A dedicated account manager is assigned and immediately calls the client to get their new pay per click (PPC) advertising campaign live. If a new client signs up for our organic search service, a telecon is scheduled to discuss aims, objectives, keywords and previous SEO work as well as any existing social media presence. Initial reports are set up to give the account manager an insight in to the on page and off page landscape.
6.00pm: After chatting with the client to gain an insight into the business, the Small Business Team account manager has compiled targeted keywords and professionally written advert text. They are entered into the Google client centre. The advert is now live. 6.15pm: A Google AdWords client decides to introduce a Yahoo Search Marketing campaign to his pay per click (PPC) advert portfolio. A trained Overture account manager is assigned to the campaign and checks the cost of appropriate keywords on the Yahoo system. After chatting to the client about cost per click, the new account goes live on the web. 6.30pm: The end of the day.
