The new T-Mobile G1 and iPhone advert formats are similar to Google’s standard mobile AdWords offerings. However, advertisers wishing to target handset owners can now do so without having to set up a mobile campaign. Instead, a T-Mobile g1 and iPhone standard campaign can be created to reach users on the go. This means advertisers can display standard text and image ads as well as landing pages without carrying out mobile specific modifications.

Announcing the new campaigns, Google said the iPhone drove more traffic to its homepage last year than any other mobile platform. The device targeted campaigns also feature bespoke performance reporting, allowing in-depth tracking of crucial statistics around the clock.
