While it is relatively simple to track online conversions from pay per click advertising on search engines such as Google and Yahoo thanks to an abundance of PPC conversion tracking software in the marketplace, the value of pay per click advertising on the offline marketing mix has remained something of a mystery until now.

The research firm found that 39% of searchers were influenced in their offline activities by search and online channels. Such a high conversion rate suggests that rather than considering pay per click as an add-on, marketers must now look at PPC advertising as an intrinsic part of the marketing mix.
